East meets west in my practice. Modern therapeutic knowledge, mindfulness, and the ancient wisdom of chi kung and acupressure combine to release physical restrictions and strengthen the flow of energy throughout the body’s meridians.
Are you frequently in pain? Are stress and fatigue affecting your life?
Our ability to heal ourselves is wondrous and myofascial release is the key. Fascia, the connective tissue found throughout the body, surrounds every cell and muscle fiber, maintaining our structure, facilitating movement. Stress, trauma and past injuries are all stored in the fascia. When we free the fascia….deep healing becomes possible.
The lengthening achieved by myofascial techniques, creates the spaciousness in mind, body and soul that allows each client’s innate wisdom to begin the process of self healing. I’m not trying to “fix” something or impose my own concept of structural integrity upon a client. My goal is to assist the client in cultivating the inherent physical, mental and spiritual balance that each of us uniquely possesses. As a result, I’ve been able to help clients successfully manage chronic pain, recover from injury, and experience deep and lasting relaxation.
Effective manual therapy expresses the perfect balance of science and intuition, and the path to well being is a path we walk together.
I look forward to walking it with you.
“Perhaps the first rule of everything we endeavor to do is to pay attention. Perhaps the second is to be patient. And perhaps the third is to be attentive to what the body knows.” – Naturalist, Barry Lopez
